WHAT iS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH USING TRIDECTIN?

As part of my worm management program I completed a worm test to determine if my ewes and lambs required drenching at weaning. I used Eweguard as a Pre-lamb drench and saw an average count of 2193epg with 100% Barbers Pole Worm which also may suggest some resistance, this was the highest result I have seen for many years. I needed a drench to eliminate these and limit any further production losses and contamination of paddocks. I was also looking for a short withholding period with a preference for some persistent activity due to the excellent season. After discussing my wish list with my advisor Peter Thornton from Delta Ag Dubbo and Emma Dodd from Virbac I was surprised to find Tridectin could deliver all this. As part of my worm management program I then completed a drench check after 10 days which returned a zero count. Tridectin is one product I will be incorporating into my resistance management program.

Discussions with Peter Thornton of Delta Dubbo prompted us to use this product. Pete provides sound and knowledgeable information when it come to decision making across all facets of animal health across the property.

I have been extremely pleased with Tridectin. The product has filled all expectations and with a post application worm count has provided the protection required. Tridectin is a product that will be used and incorporated in the business to eliminate resistance and provide protection and minimise production losses.

It has ticked all boxes with regard to increasing animal production, minimising further losses, and reducing further worm contamination. Tridectin has also provided an alternative tool in resistant worm management and combined with a short WHP has armed us with another valuable tool in worm management.
